Emirates SkyCargo takes delivery of its third Boeing 777 FreighterEmirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates Airline, has taken delivery of its third Boeing 777 Freighter, one of the most modern, technologically advanced large freighters in the world.
It joins Emirates' expanding fleet of Boeing 777s, serving an ever-growing demand from a global cargo market, said a statement from the Dubai airline.
With a long-range flying capacity of over 17 hours without refueling, capability of carrying up to 103 tons of cargo and technologically advanced General Electric (GE) engines, the Boeing 777F provides greater flexibility than any other freighter aircraft in operation today, it added.
The 777F will be deployed to Brazil serving Sao Paulo (VCP) thrice weekly complementing the daily passenger operation to GRU.
"Even in an uncertain global economy, our commitment to facilitating international trade remains strong," said Tim Clark, president of Emirates Airline, whose cargo team worked closely with the plane maker on the design of the aircraft.
"Boeing's collaborative spirit inspires us to work together to develop creative solutions to the challenges the cargo industry faces every day,"
